J-dag short for Julebrygsdag it’s the cozy Danish tradition where we celebrate the arrival of the Christmas beer. Since 1990, Danes have gathered on the first Friday of November to welcome the season with friends, music, and a bit of winter magic. When the clock hits 20:59, the Christmas spirit officially begins. And here in Melbourne, we do it on the last Friday of November.
Our Tuborg Julebryg is a classic since 1981. It’s a dark, malty Christmas brew with a touch of sweetness and the familiar blue “snow universe” design that many Danes look forward to every year. For many, its taste marks the real beginning of Christmas hygge.
